Go Global in Greater Seattle

Our region’s global connectivity includes three deep water ports and two international airports that are equidistant between Europe and Asia. Strong international relations foster a diverse and growing foreign-born community where one in five of the region’s four million residents were born outside of the U.S. We are consistently ranked in the top 10 best states for business for health care, opportunity, the economy, and education. If you are looking to relocate or expand in North America, the world is welcome here.

Attracting global businesses

Core to Greater Seattle Partners’ mission is bringing great jobs and investment to the region, focused on our key industry sectors. We develop and cultivate prospects who are willing, ready and able to invest in our region, develop RFIs and RFPs, connect regional partners, and support site selection activities to help companies find the right location to do business.
Our region is home to the world’s leading companies like Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Boeing, Costco, Microsoft and Starbucks, as well as major international players like Alibaba Group, Infosys, Nintendo, Novo Nordisk, Siemens, The Pokémon Company International, T-Mobile, and others that have established significant operations in Greater Seattle.

Welcoming inbound international delegations

Greater Seattle Partners serves as the region’s coordinating entity, welcoming some 50 business and executive delegations every year. We strategically connect delegations with public and private sector leaders and lead international relations and protocol.

GSP is uniquely positioned to engage international leaders and businesses, leveraging deep ties to organizations including the Washington Consular Association, District Export Council, Seattle International Affairs Advisory Board, World Bank, U.S. Investment Advisory Council, and the U.S. Department of State.

Organizing global investment and trade missions

In partnership with Seattle Metro Chamber of Commerce, we organize outbound missions to key trade and investment partners around the world. Recent missions include Iceland, Japan, Korea, and Norway. These initiatives strengthen trade ties and attract investments, exemplified by the University of Washington’s partnership with Japan’s University of Tsukuba.

GSP represents the region’s diverse economy and leadership in sectors like aerospace, biotech, cleantech, and AI, participating in major conferences like Farnborough, Paris Air Shows, SelectUSA, and exclusive missions, including the U.S. and Canada Leadership Program and the Global Innopolis Forum in South Korea.
