Korean Exporting Conference
Well, that’s a wrap! Thank you for attending the Small Business Growth and Resiliency Through Export Opportunities in U.S.- Korea Trade reception and conference at the Port of Seattle Sept. 7-8.
In addition, thank you to the Washington State Department of Commerce, Port of Seattle, Coupang, Amazon and the U.S. Small Business Administration for joining us to offer small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to learn more about growth through exporting with an emphasis on the South Korean market.
A special thanks also to former Governor Gary Locke, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, State Representative Cindy Ryu, Mayor Bruce Harrell, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, King County Executive Dow Constantine, Ambassador of South Korea to the U.S. Cho Tae-yong, Consul General of the Republic of Korea Seo Eun-ji, Commissioner for the Port of Seattle Sam Cho and many others for lending their support and experience to the reception and the conference.
As stated in a related Seattle Times article:
This region boasts one of the largest Korean American populations in the U.S. There are many prominent Korean American political leaders here, including former City Council member Martha Choe, Port of Seattle Commissioner Sam Cho and former Deputy Mayor Hyeok Kim. More than 40,000 people in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area were born in Korea.
