Greater Seattle Partners Announces 15 Companies Selected for Cohort 5 of the Greater Seattle Export Accelerator
Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) is pleased to announce 15 companies selected for Cohort 5 of the Greater Seattle Export Accelerator, a customized export training program designed to help businesses across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties enter new international markets and grow their global sales.
The Greater Seattle Export Accelerator (GSEA) provides participating companies with expert guidance, practical tools, and connections to help build and execute successful international growth strategies. Through sessions covering international market selection, export strategy, regulatory considerations, finance, logistics, and global sales, the program helps companies strengthen their export readiness and identify opportunities in markets around the world.
“Greater Seattle Partners is pleased to launch this fifth cohort as we continue to grow the Greater Seattle Export Accelerator regionally,” said Josh Davis, Chief Economic Development Officer and Senior Vice President at Greater Seattle Partners. “Companies from Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties have shared how effective GSEA has been in supporting their growth through exporting. We plan to leverage current opportunities, including the STEP Grant program, to accelerate market entry and global access for participating companies. The Greater Seattle region is a global powerhouse, with both our seaports and airports driving international trade.”

Cohort 5 brings together companies from across the Greater Seattle region representing industries such as technology, clean tech, food and beverage, consumer products, life sciences, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.

Helping Greater Seattle Companies Compete Globally
International trade is a major driver of the Greater Seattle economy. In 2025, the region recorded $117.8 billion in total trade, including $47.5 billion in exports, up approximately 17.5% from 2024. The region’s leading export markets include China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Malaysia.
Supporting local exporters is an important part of Greater Seattle Partners’ mission to attract business investment and advance international trade to strengthen, diversify, and grow the Greater Seattle economy.

Greater Seattle’s position as a gateway to international markets gives local companies significant advantages as they expand globally. The region combines major seaports, international air cargo capacity, extensive rail and logistics infrastructure, and direct connections to markets across the Asia-Pacific and around the world.
The Greater Seattle Export Accelerator complements these physical assets by helping more Greater Seattle businesses develop the knowledge, strategy, and relationships needed to use that global connectivity to grow.
Since 2023, the Greater Seattle Export Accelerator has supported 98 local businesses across a wide range of industries in developing their export capacity and pursuing international opportunities.
The program is made possible through the support of City of Seattle, City of Tacoma, Coupang, Miller Nash, Port of Seattle, Snohomish County, U.S. Small Business Administration, and Washington State Department of Commerce.
