Regional business and government partners welcome two decades of leadership experience involving several large health systems around the country.
Seattle, Wash. (June 29, 2021) – Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) today announced Ketul J. Patel, chief executive officer of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has been appointed as the new co-chair of Greater Seattle Partners’ Executive Council. He succeeds Brad Tilden who recently retired as chief executive officer of Alaska Air Group. Patel will co-chair the Executive Council alongside Phyllis Campbell, chairman, Pacific Northwest of JP Morgan Chase.

Ketul J. Patel is President, Pacific Northwest Division, CommonSpirit Health and Chief Executive Officer of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Prior to joining Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Patel served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Chief Operations Officer at Hackensack University Health Network and Hackensack University Medical Center located in northern New Jersey. Patel’s more than two decades of leadership experience involves several large health systems around the country. He served as vice president of operations for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Magee-Women’s Hospital; senior vice president at Franciscan Health Alliance St. James Health in Chicago; and vice president for strategic planning and business development at Sharp HealthCare in San Diego. Patel holds master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He has a bachelor’s degree from The John Hopkins University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
